North Royalton resident Anthony Tomaro named a KFC Colonel Scholar: Student of the Week

NORTH ROYALTON — North Royalton High School graduate Anthony Tomaro is one of 75 students named to the fifth annual class of KFC Colonel’s Scholars.
Tomaro is eligible to receive up to $20,000 during the next four years.
More than 100,000 graduating high school seniors who excelled in and out of the classroom applied for the scholarship.
KFC Colonel’s Scholars is an annual program of the Kentucky Fried Chicken Foundation, an independent charity supported by KFC, its employees, franchises and patrons.
Tomaro will pursue a bachelor’s degree in education from the Ohio State University.
At North Royalton High School, Tomaro maintained a 4.0 grade-point average, served as a Student Ambassador and made the Merit Roll for three years.

NRAB 2010 Scholarship Awards
The Boosters would like to announce the recipients of the NRAB 2010 scholarship awards.
Each student athlete will receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 from the Boosters.

Clay Krafft has committed to play football for the University of Dayton. Clay will be one of two linebackers in the incoming class of 26 players.
He will be majoring in Biology, with the intention of focusing on health sciences.

Lady Bear Soccer - Class of 2010
Chrissy Poulos to Play for Lake Erie College. Chelsea Medalis to Play for Edinboro University.
North Royalton Lady Bear Co-Captain Chrissy Poulos will play for the Lake Erie Storm. Chrissy will join Alumni Jenna Hanford at Lake Erie. This will be the Storm's second year playing in NCAA Division II. Chelsea Medalis has made a commitment to play for Edinboro University in Edinboro, PA. The Fighting Scots are also an NCAA Division II team.
